Rhinoceros Beetles
There are over 1,600 species of rhinoceros beetles found all around the world. When you hear the name "rhinoceros beetle," you think of beetles that have big horns. These horns come in different sizes and shapes, depending on the species. However, there are only about 70 species of rhinoceros beetles that have these large horns. The rest have little protrusions or no horns at all. It is also only the males that have these horns, which they use to fight with other beetles to protect their territory and to fight off other males so they can mate with the females. Most rhinoceros beetles will only live for a few months, but some species can live up to 1 year in captivity.
