This year's Science Fair will give parents a greater understanding of the topics and activities completed in the English Science Program at Tokyo Korean School. You will be able to see examples of experiments and activities completed in class. You will also get to see children putting their scientific ideas in words and pictures.

2016 Science Fair: Scientists and Their Inventions

The 2016/2017 Science Fair theme was SCIENTISTS AND THEIR INVENTIONS.
The Core Strategy for 2016 provided by the Korean Education Ministry listed goals that the English teachers wanted the school to help realize. They stated that Korean society needs creative people. This Science Fair gave students the opportunity to create their own invention. In doing so, the students’ talents were raised. It might also have helped students to realize their dreams. This theme could be seen as the students learning about real inventors. It could also be seen as the student being the scientist and it was their inventions (work) being recognized. Students in my classes studied the amazing inventions of Leonardo da Vinci. Grade 5 and 6 students were also involved in creating their own inventions. |
