Science Fair 2014

Date:    10th - 13th of February. 2015
Place:   Elementary gymnasium
Grades: 1 through 6

This year’s Science Fair theme is
CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATIONS.

Children enjoy a good mystery. This is apparent from the popularity of the English comic series, Conan, which is available in the TKS library. This Science Fair gives the students the opportunity to be Conan. It will allow them to develop problem solving skills to solve crimes and allow them to explore the far reaches of their imaginations.

Children are curious by nature and the activities chosen for each grade will allow them to use science to answer a variety of different questions: “Who did it?” and “Do we have any proof?” and “How did it happen?” Through the activities chosen, students will be able to observe, classify, compare, measure, predict, interpret data and draw reasonable inferences based on evidence. These are the very things that forensic scientists do.
